Description
This is my first solid attempt at traditional Japanese art. My Chinese water dragon! This only took a couple of days (much less than I anticipated). I was a bit nervous to even attempt a dragon but I am very pleased with the way it turned out. I used Copic markers (for the wave/spine/and under plate colors), a .25 Micron (to outline it all), Fabric Castel Ink Markers (for the shadows in the waves), A gold paint marker (for the horns-so it actually shines), and a plain old mechanical pencil (for the scales and other shading). Wicked! I love the scale technique on this one, that looks fantastic without hard lines separating each one. Love the subtle colours chosen too. Very nicely done.
